JOSEP ANTONI GRIMALT MOREY

General Manager


Josep Antoni (Pep) studied at the Superior College of Industrial Engineers in Barcelona (ETSEIB) – part of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and in 1998 he earned a Bachelors and Masters degree in MEP engineering.
His profesional career began on the front line working as site manager and later as Technical Director for several construction companies in both the private and public sector.
In 2002 he created the Company Enginyeria I Urbanisme where he and his partners designed and directed numerous projects around the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and southern Spain.
IN 2008 GNGRUP was created specializing in Project and Construction management for hotels and high-end residential building projects. Pep is currently the managing director of GNGRUP throughout Spain and the Dominican Republic. He has participated in numerous courses and seminars and is currently a popular speaker for several Project Management courses and webinars. He is on the international commitee for TECNIBERIA (spanish building and urban planning commission) is a credited PMP (Project management professional) and associated member of PMI (Project Management Institute) along with SAVE International – an american society promoting Value Methodolgy within the industry. PM2 Alliance Certified. Postgraduate course “Real Estate and Hotel Investment” at Cornell-University in Ithaca, New York. Pep has also recently qualified as a BREEAM ASSOCIATE and is on the board of directors and treasurer for AEDIP (the spanish asociation for integrated Project management)

In 1997 Joan graduated from the Technical College of Industrial and Technical Engineers (EUETIB, part of the polytechnic University of Catalonia UPC) with a Bachelors Degree in MEP engineering.
Furthering his studies at the university of La Rioja in 2002 he graduated with a masters degree in MEP engineering from the Superior College of Industrial Engineers.
That very same year he created the Company Enginyeria I Urbanisme along with two other partners. As head of design his role within the Company led him to direct numerous projects throughout Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
In 2008 GNGRUP was formed and Joan specialized in Installation Design for hotels and high end residential building projects. He is currently Director of Operations for GNGRUP throughout Spain. Passionate about his field of work Joan continues to participate in courses and seminars keeping abreast of all the latest and innovative technologies. Lately he has become a member of the Spanish Green Building Council (GBCe) and has become a certified specialist for the assessment of eco friendly buildings (Omega GBCe).

David Medina

DAVID MEDINA PEDRÓN

ADJUNTO DIRECCIÓN INGENIERÍA


On leaving school David took a BTEC diploma in electrical and electronic engineering. He then decided to further his studies and in 2004 graduated from the University of Girona in Industrial Technical Engineering.
In 2005 he began his career as a Quality Technician at SEMAI (automotive electronic systems) In 2006 he was made head of Quality Control and part of the technical team for LED lighting designs.
In 2007 he furthered his career by stepping into the world of Industrial Installations and Legalization of Activities.
In 2015 he joined the team of professionals at GNGRUP working on Installations and Legalization of Activities. David also manages GNGRUPS engineering projects.

JOSE ANGEL BLANCO MARTÍNEZ

DIRECTOR DEPARTAMENTO DE PROJECT Y CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT


Jose Angel graduated in Industrial Engineering in 1990 from the Superior Technical College of Industrial Engineers in Gijón (ETSIIG), University of Oviedo (Asturias).
He began his professional carreer as Construction Manager and quickly progressed to Construction Group Manager for two Real Estate Construction/Promotor companies where he worked for 14 years.
In 2004 he became Contract and Technical Director for a real estate company developing projects (houses, hotels, shopping centers, offices, urbanizations) in both Spain and America.
In 2013 he worked for RIU Hotels controlling construction costs answering directly to the President on all issues in relation to building projects both renovations and new build.
In 2014 he moved to an engineering company as Director for Project Management (amongst other projects he managed The Acadamy and Rafa Nadal’s Sport Center in Manacor).
On joining GNGRUP Jose Angel directs the Department for Project and Construction Management.
